Terms of use
These terms describe use of the Gaze6m macOS app and website. They should be reviewed against the final operator, store distribution and purchase model before public release.
1. The service
Gaze6m is a macOS menu bar break reminder with a timer, a look-away countdown, reminder settings and optional poetry. Features, minimum system requirements and compatible devices are those stated for the relevant version in the Mac App Store.
2. Health disclaimer
The app provides general break reminders. It is not a medical device or medical service and does not diagnose, prevent or treat a condition. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice. If you have persistent or concerning symptoms, consult a qualified eye-care professional.
3. Use and updates
You may adjust, pause or turn off reminders to suit your needs. Do not unlawfully copy, redistribute, reverse engineer or otherwise infringe rights in the software, except where applicable law permits. Mac App Store editions are distributed and updated through Apple’s store services.
4. Price, purchases and refunds
If the app is offered as a paid download or with in-app purchases, the purchase page and Apple’s processes describe the price, features, purchase confirmation, restoration and refunds. Prices and purchase features have not yet been finalised; this page is not an offer for sale.
5. Content and intellectual property
The Gaze6m name, graphics, website design and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. The poetry collection should be checked against verified source texts. Translations, annotations, fonts and other third-party materials remain subject to their respective rights and licences.
6. Availability and responsibility
Reminder timing and display can be affected by macOS, power state, full-screen apps, Focus settings, display layout and other system settings. Do not rely on this app as the sole safeguard in a safety-critical, medical or precision-timing situation. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer law.
